MamaKiya - International Cooperation
Another form of cooperation could make it possible to develop alternatives to improve the situation in the respective countries of origin and, in addition, to seek possibilities for return. Many people with a migration background feel integrated in Germany but still want the best for their countries.
The background of international cooperation is constantly changing and requires the creation of new measures to be able to speak between countries on the same level.
Our approach is based on sensitive communication and exchange between different cultures. Our goal is to recognize our respective potential, but also possible weaknesses, in order to be able to assume social responsibility in the best possible way.

"As an intelligent interview partner with a critical point of view I hold Amanda Luna of MamaKiya e.V. in high esteem! For my master thesis on the roles of different stakeholder groups within a volunteer service for development, she shared with me her perspective on development cooperation. Without complications and very quickly we were able to find an appointment for a phone conversation, for which Amanda Luna took a lot of time. I am very impressed by her critical stance and clear statement on development cooperation as it is carried out today.
Amanda Luna is not afraid to follow her words with deeds and to show backbone in her development education work. She denounces seminar contents that violate her principles and leave out critical topics, thus creating a space for genuine critical discourse. Through her origin in Peru and her connection to the reality of life of the Incas, Amanda Luna draws on personal experience and a real understanding of the culture and reality of life of the people of her country of origin, which no one from the Global North, no matter how much experience in the context of development policy, can ever attain. With her knowledge and experience, Amanda Luna brings a perspective to discussions on development policy and sustainable development that highlights the blind spots in development policy discourses and makes people think. As a critical interview partner, Amanda Luna is highly recommended for academic research in the field of development cooperation, political education and sustainable development!

"The contact with Amanda from MamaKiya e.V. was very nice. She was always available and took her time to help me in the best possible way. With her knowledge of many Andean cultures, she supported me very much in a project about reclaiming and reintegrating Andean cultures through music, which I conducted for the university. She could give me a lot of information about the culture of her home region, for example about instruments from the Andes and their origin.
I will certainly contact Amanda about other topics concerning Latin America for future written work at the university.“

"With my dissertation project I would like to investigate the linguistic and social realities of Quechua speakers* in Europe. Among other things, I am interested in the contexts in which they (can) speak Quechua, how they feel about their different languages and what interest and possibilities they have in Quechua. The project is carried out in cooperation with Mamakiya in order to be able to incorporate continuous feedback from the speakers themselves into the work."

Project "Perú Diverso"
It was brought to life by young Peruvians with the purpose, show the diversity of Peru.
"In my country there has always been a lot of talk about gastronomic diversity, biological diversity or the abundance of natural resources. However, little is reported about Peru's greatest wealth, its people, its human capital. People who live by the sea or in cold, inaccessible places like the sierras and the deep Amazon, where the only means of transportation are chalupas (boats). Therefore, we believe that in the diverse Peru it is necessary to enhance our culture and to make our society more inclusive, so that all material differences that have led to thoughts of indifference disappear and we build a more just society where all individuals are respected and valued.
On the other hand, from this need for change comes the idea of showing the world that in Peru there are not only two departments, but that we are such a diverse territory that includes 24 departments, and that in each of them there are stories to tell and wonders to explore.
Finally, as another young Peruvian, I invite you to awaken this love for your culture and to share with the world your reality and the values, characteristics and customs that you believe should be saved."
